UPDATE NEWS - MAMAYOO TRENDING VIDEO

The video featuring Mamayoo and her partner initially surfaced on NaijaLeaks, a website notorious for disseminating explicit and controversial materials involving Nigerian celebrities and notable personalities. Subsequently, this video spread to additional websites and social media channels, including Twitter and Reddit, where it swiftly attracted attention and emerged as a trending subject.

There are conflicting reports regarding the leak of Mamayoo’s private tape. Some suggest that Mamayoo intentionally leaked the tape to retaliate against her ex-boyfriend for his infidelity and subsequent breakup, aiming to invoke jealousy and regret in him while enhancing her own fame. Conversely, other sources argue that Mamayoo was not behind the leak; instead, the video was hacked and stolen from her phone by an individual intending to blackmail or publicly expose her.

Many netizens expressed their shock, disgust, and anger at the Mamayo video, calling Mamayoo names and accusing her of being immoral, desperate, and attention-seeking. Some also criticized her partner for being unprofessional and disrespectful, as he was seen wearing a mask and a cap during the act. Some even questioned the authenticity and quality of the video, saying that it was poorly edited and staged.

However, some netizens defended Mamayoo and sympathized with her, saying that she was a victim of cyberbullying and invasion of privacy. They argued that she had the right to do whatever she wanted with her body and her partner and that no one had the right to judge her or expose her without her consent. They also urged people to respect her dignity and privacy and to stop spreading and watching the video.

The video featuring Mamayoo has triggered significant repercussions both online and offline. Reports indicate that she has been detained by the Nigerian police for breaching the Cybercrimes Act, which outlaws the creation, dissemination, and holding of pornographic and improper content. Conviction could result in a sentence of up to three years in jail or a penalty reaching 10 million naira
